Illegal Structures Demolished on District Court Premises
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) destroyed unauthorized buildings built to serve as courthouse annexations. Before beginning an anti-encroachment campaign, the civic organization also succeeded in having six courts located in private structures removed.

The anti-encroachment operation in F-8 Markaz was started by the CDA on the instruction of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The operation was under the supervision of IHC Registrar Sajid Baloch, the session’s judges, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat. The courts’ hallways would be cleared by the CDA as well.
Some 14 illegal court structures, for which the civic agency had already sent notices, would be destroyed during the current operation, according to CDA officials.

The IHC registrar requested that the CDA wait for the Supreme Court’s decision because the Supreme Court was currently hearing a case involving the illegitimate building of chambers.
He said that lawyers had been given a deadline of two months by the supreme court to voluntarily remove the illegal rooms.
