International Institutions Announced $500m Aid for Flood Victims
ISLAMABAD, August 26, 2022- On the request of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the international organizations and financial institutions on Thursday announced an emergency help of more than $500 million for the flood victims. Announcement of $500m relief for flood affecters.

An important conference with international donors to discuss aiding flood victims was presided over by the prime minister. The meeting was attended by representatives of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, international financial organizations, development partners, and donors.

The summit also included representatives from the World Health Organization, the United Nations, China, and the United States. The Prime Minister informed the foreign allies of the country’s destruction due to floods, notably in Sindh and Balochistan.

He said that due to the catastrophic rainfall and flooding, the nation was in an emergency situation and that many people, especially women and children, perished. As a result of this appeal, the international institutions agreed to extend an aid of $500m to rescue the flood victims.
