Intrusion Into Protest Land of Saidu Graveyard
Swat: Saidu Sharif and the Mingora people protested the land mafia’s entry into Saidu Sharif’s graveyard on Friday. Saidu’s burial land is said to have been illegally transferred by the land mafia.
A large gathering of locals gathered at the Saidu Chowk under the leadership of Mr. Amir Ahmad, Attorney Shamsher Ali, Mohammad Ali, Habibul Haq Burhan, Faridoon, and Taj Malook formed the protect. The demonstrators filmed their protest against the land mafia’s illegitimate encroachment and occupancy of the local cemetery’s land.
A meeting with the local elders was conducted following the protest. According to the elders, the 296 Kanal landmark houses the largest cemetery in the area, where people from all across lower Sawt bury their loved ones.

Additionally, it was asserted that the district revenue office had been transferring land to the pioneers. The village’s elders stated that the Saidu Sharif Central Council cemetery had been properly set up (SCC). The mafia is a very powerful and influential group. They have been selling the developed land to construction companies. On the grounds of the cemetery, some residential structures were being built.
On the burial property, 12 dwellings allegedly have already been built illegally. The SCC has begun to demolish the buildings that were built unlawfully. Two of them had already been destroyed, and the village elders planned to do the same to the remaining ones.
