Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Ardeshir Larijani said on Wednesday that Iran is working with Pakistan to resolve disputes between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
Speaking at a briefing in Islamabad, Larijani reaffirmed Iran’s clear stance on the Palestine issue and promised regional cooperation against terrorism. He expressed pleasure at visiting Pakistan, calling it a friendly and brotherly country, and said he hoped both nations would quickly find solutions to regional challenges.
On Palestine, Larijani said Iran has proposed a clear formula for resolving the issue and emphasized that Palestinians should hold elections to choose their government.
He also noted that terrorist groups remain active in the region and confirmed that Iran will cooperate with Pakistan to counter them. Additionally, Larijani said that Iran has completed work on the gas pipeline up to its border with Pakistan.
