Reza Amiri Moghaddam, Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, said on Wednesday that he is deeply grateful to the Pakistani people and government for their continuous support and solidarity with Iran in the face of Israeli aggression.
“The Iranian nation will never forget the support and brotherhood of the Pakistani people,” Moghaddam stated in a special statement released to express Iran’s gratitude. He referred to this as a “historic” win for the Muslim community.
He claimed that Iran had been successful in negotiating a ceasefire with a fierce and formidable adversary. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the Pakistani government and people for supporting Iran.
The envoy was very appreciative of Field Marshal Gen. Asim Munir, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and President Asif Ali Zardari.
He also thanked Defense Minister Khawaja Asif and Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar for their assistance. He also commended the media, political parties, religious leaders, and the Pakistani parliament for their admirable position.
Moghaddam praised the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) for its steadfast backing of Iran in all international fora, such as the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations.
He emphasized that there is “historic and enduring” unity between the governments and people of Pakistan and Iran.
