Iraq Ends Visa Fee for Pakistanis
According to Samaa News, Rana Sanaullah, the interior minister of Pakistan, recently travelled to Iraq for four days after receiving a special invitation from Abdul Amir Al-Sabri, his counterpart in Iraq.
The goal of the trip was to deepen connections between the two nations and advance collaboration on a number of fronts.
Mohammad Shia al-Sudani, the PM of Iraq, and Minister Rana discussed potential areas of cooperation during their meeting.

The two presidents reaffirmed their commitment to overcoming shared obstacles by deciding to collaborate on defence and counterterrorism initiatives.
The Iraqi Prime Minister’s decision to abolish visa fees for Pakistani pilgrims was a significant breakthrough during the visit. This means that Pakistanis who travel to Iraq for religious reasons won’t be charged a visa cost.
Another favourable result for Pakistani investors was the result of the discussions. They will soon have access to electronic visa (e-visa) options that will allow them to invest and do business in Iraq.
The prime minister of Iraq has stated a great desire to hasten the release of Pakistanis who are detained in Iraq for very minor offences.
In addition to thanking the Iraqi Interior Minister for helping Pakistani pilgrims, Minister Rana did so during the visit.
