Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar reached Saudi Arabia on Monday to attend the 21st extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) foreign ministers, being held at the OIC headquarters in Jeddah.
At King Abdulaziz International Airport, Dar was received by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the OIC Fawad Sher, Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmed Farooq, and Consul General in Jeddah Khalid Majeed.
The OIC session will discuss Israel’s ongoing military offensive in Gaza and the grave human rights violations faced by Palestinians. Member states are expected to finalize a joint action plan and push for urgent humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.

Pakistan has repeatedly raised its voice for Palestine on global forums. At the meeting, Dar will reaffirm Pakistan’s consistent stance—calling for Israel’s withdrawal from all occupied territories, the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within pre-1967 borders, and immediate relief efforts for civilians trapped in Gaza.
During his visit, Dar will also hold meetings with foreign ministers from key OIC member countries to strengthen unity on Palestine and explore broader avenues of regional cooperation.
