According to a notification issued by the Office of the District Magistrate of the Islamabad Capital Territory, the decision applies to all public and private educational institutions operating within the revenue limits of the capital.
The order covers schools, colleges, and universities across Islamabad.
The notification was issued on March 12, 2026, and signed by Irfan Nawaz Memon, directing institutions to observe the holiday accordingly.
