The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Senior Special Magistrate has closed three offices of the Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO).
The offices of IESCO were purportedly locked due to nonpayment of taxes to the city government. Sardar Mohammad Asif, a top CDA official, intervened on behalf of the corporation, sealing three of its primary structures in sectors G-7, G-6, and F-8.

IESCO’s representative, Raja Asim, acknowledged the development in an interview with a local media station. He also mentioned that IESCO had recently sent letters to CDA about unpaid invoices.
Raja Asim added, “Teams from both sides will get together to discuss the problem and work out the outstanding payments.” He hoped they would soon de-seal all of their offices.
Senior officials from both departments are reportedly attempting to find a quick solution, according to the IESCO representative.
