The Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), operating under the Ministry of IT and Telecom, has officially opened bookings for the Islamabad IT Park, set to be inaugurated on August 14. Spanning an impressive 720,000 square feet, the park is being developed as the country’s most sophisticated IT infrastructure, designed to support more than 120 IT and IT-enabled services (ITeS) companies, including emerging startups and established tech exporters.
This state-of-the-art facility will feature two basement levels, a ground floor, and nine upper stories, offering dedicated office spaces and an incubation centre with 15 startup offices. It also includes a full range of business support services such as legal, marketing, and financial advisory to help resident companies thrive.

A key feature of the Islamabad IT Park is Pakistan’s first Tier III Data Centre, which promises high-level data security and uninterrupted operations. Built to meet international standards, this facility is expected to significantly boost the digital infrastructure, supporting both local and international tech firms operating in the country.
In addition to core business facilities, the park offers research and development labs, virtual training zones, and industry-academia linkage centres aimed at bridging the talent gap through collaboration between universities and the private sector. These efforts are part of a broader initiative to promote skills development and ensure a steady talent supply for the growing IT sector.
Strategically located in the capital city, the Islamabad IT Park is positioned as a hub for digital foreign direct investment. The initiative is being supported by key stakeholders, including the Ministry of IT and Telecom, the Pakistan Software Houses Association, and the Pakistan Freelancers Association.
Plans are also underway for a similar IT park near Karachi airport to further support the expansion of Pakistan’s digital economy and strengthen its position in the global tech landscape.
