Islamabad Police Setup Digital Control Room for Citizens
Islamabad: According to news reports, the Islamabad Police has established a digital control room to increase the interaction between police officers and residents in order to give the best services.
According to the available information, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) visited the digital control room in order to examine the police’s interactions with complainants. Using this method, the offices of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and the Inspector General (IGP) can oversee the activities of police stations, as reported.
During their visit, both officials may interact with complainants, whereas the Additional Inspector General (AIG) is required to interact with complainants for one hour per day.
Additionally, the dialogue between complainants and law enforcement personnel will be recorded. It is anticipated that the service would be extended to the offices of zonal (Superintendent of Police) SPs and Subdivisional Police Officers (SDPOs).

In addition, the offices of Station House Officers (SHOs), the front desks of police stations, muharrars, and the uniforms of police guides are being outfitted with modern cameras. The IGP of Islamabad remarked that the adoption of this technology will facilitate the monitoring of police employees’ interactions with the general public and ensure efficient policing.
