Islamabad to Get a New 7-Kilometer Road to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
At a cost of Rs. 600 million, the federal government has chosen to build a 7-km Alexander Road in the Margalla Hills to connect Islamabad with Haripur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). A Rs. 20 billion rural development plan will pay for this road improvement, which will be completed in four months.
This project is located within the Kenthla Well federal capital boundaries and will be supervised by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). To develop the quickest route from Islamabad to Haripur, KP will construct the remaining portion and combine the two roads.

This route’s improvement and growth would increase tourism in neighbouring communities like Shah Allah Ditta. Along with parking for tourists, a park will be available for visitors to unwind in.
An official told the media that 36 localities with a combined population of 200,000 will benefit from this effort. Muslim Colony (Bari Imam), Nur Pur Shahan, Malpur, Shahdara, Mandla, Kot Hathial, Bani Gala, Lakhawal, Phul Garan, Ghora Baz, Tumair, and Lehtrar Road are some of them.

Despite the objections of environmentalists who claim that development of this road will harm the natural habitat of several plants and animals, the government has chosen to proceed with the project.
