The establishment of a “Car City” in Islamabad has been ordered by Caretaker Prime Minister (PM) Anwaarul Haq Kakar in an attempt to streamline the car-buying and selling procedure.
In this regard, officials have been instructed to create a thorough plan. The directives were given out at a meeting about issues pertaining to the Capital Territory (ICT) of Islamabad.
The Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) current projects, the effectiveness of the Islamabad Police, and unlawful encroachments within the capital were reported at the conference.

The acting prime minister gave the order to take action against the parking and traffic problems that Islamabad’s showrooms have caused. “A thorough design of a Car City ought to be created at an appropriate site for the display, sale, and auction of automobiles in Islamabad,” PM Kakar said.
There will be 160 new buses arriving in Islamabad soon, officials told the conference. In addition, the PM said that the nation should implement a centralized digital system for vehicle registration.
The PM ordered that “fitness certificates for old vehicles should be issued based on the internationally accepted environmental pollution standards.”
