Islamabad United continued their perfect run in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 with a dominant six-wicket victory over Karachi Kings at the National Stadium in Karachi. With this win, Islamabad United remain unbeaten in the tournament, strengthening their position at the top of the PSL 2025 points table.

Chasing a modest target of 129, Islamabad United comfortably got over the line in 17.1 overs. Captain Shadab Khan led from the front with a composed knock of 47 runs from 40 balls, anchoring the innings during key phases of the chase. Azam Khan also played a crucial role, scoring a solid 31 not out to ensure a smooth finish for his team.

Earlier in the evening, Karachi Kings struggled to find rhythm with the bat after being put in to bat first. The side could only manage 128 for 7 in their 20 overs. Tim Seifert top-scored for Karachi with 30 runs, but lacked support from the rest of the batting unit. Islamabad’s bowlers were clinical once again, with Shadab Khan claiming 2 for 17, Imad Wasim bowling economically with 1 for 17, and Naseem Shah chipping in with 2 for 29.

Sahibzada Farhan gave United a brisk start, scoring 30 off just 18 deliveries. While they lost a couple of wickets in the middle overs, the experienced pair of Shadab and Azam guided the side home with ease, avoiding any late surprises.

The win takes Islamabad United’s tally to 8 points from 4 matches with an impressive net run rate of 2.544. Lahore Qalandars sit second with 4 points from 3 games. Karachi Kings, with 2 wins and 2 losses, are third but will need to bounce back quickly to stay in the playoff race.

Karachi will now face Peshawar Zalmi in a must-win clash that could determine the course of their season. For Islamabad United, the road to the playoffs looks increasingly promising as they continue to dominate with both bat and ball.
