185 housing societies and residential developments in Islamabad have been deemed illegal by the Capital Development Authority (CDA). On its website, the CDA has updated a list of illegal housing associations.
According to the most recent list, the CDA has also ruled 15 housing societies in Zone III, 7 housing societies in Zone II, and 24 residential projects and housing societies illegal in Zone I.
110 housing societies in Zone IV are illegal, according to the CDA’s most recent list. Additionally, 29 residential projects in Zone V have been ruled illegal by CDA.
The CDA has also noted illicit land subvention in six sectors of E-14, D-14, D-15, D-16, E-16, and F-15 in the amended list.
According to CDA, housing projects like Muhafiz Gardens, Rawat Enclave, Faisal Town, Grace Land Housing, and Air Line Avenue are being marketed as being in Islamabad, even though neither the subject projects nor any NOCs from CDA have been obtained for their launch or marketing.
The CDA has advised the general public not to reserve or buy any plots in these or any other unapproved and unlawful housing developments. Before making any investments, citizens are urged to visit CDA and learn the legal standing of housing developments.
It is prohibited and illegal to promote or advertise housing projects without the CDA’s NOC. The promotion of illicit housing projects through deceptive advertising or marketing is prohibited by the advertisers or marketing firms. Additionally, CDA has instructed the sponsors not to promote or build housing schemes without first receiving NOC from CDA.
