Islamabad’s Schools and Colleges to Get 4 Extra Holidays for Eid
The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), a department of the Federal Education Ministry, has changed the timetable of spring vacation in all educational institutes under its jurisdiction.

According to the official notification, spring break will be celebrated in FDE-administered schools and colleges during the last week of Ramadan, from April 17 to 20.
The timetable has been altered due to priority tasks involving the paper marking of annual exams for classes 5 and 8, the admission/registration process, and SSC and HSSC pre-board exams.

Students in FDE-managed educational institutes will have extended holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr, which is anticipated to fall on April 21 or 22.

The FDE also changed the hours for all educational institutes that operate under it prior to the commencement of Ramadan. Single-shift institutes are open from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and shut at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., morning shift is conducted in double-shift institutes. Monday through Thursday, the evening work in double-shift institutes runs from 12:45 PM to 5:15 PM. On Friday, it begins at 2:00 PM and concludes at 5:15 PM.

The Ex-FG Colleges, on the other hand, open at 8:00 AM and shut at 1:00 PM Monday through Thursday. On Friday, they shut at 12:00 p.m.
