The Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoITT) has asked all state-owned enterprises, ministries, and government departments to confirm that they’ve fully switched to the E-Office system — a digital platform meant to boost efficiency and cut paperwork in the public sector.
This follows a Cabinet directive from May 19, which made it clear: it’s time to go digital, no delays.
All ministries were supposed to be using the E-Office system by December 31, 2024, but now they’re being asked to submit signed certificates proving they’ve done it. The MoITT will pull all this info together and send a report to the Prime Minister’s Office and Cabinet Division.

Top Performers Will Be Recognized
To encourage progress, the government has launched a reward program. The top three ministries or departments that best implement the E-Office system will be publicly recognized on August 14, 2025 — a move meant to motivate others and highlight digital success stories.
Cybersecurity Is Key
Alongside the rollout, the Cabinet has emphasized the need for strong cybersecurity measures to protect digital data. Ministry leaders have also been told to get their teams on board quickly, stressing how important this digital shift is for better governance.
