IT Ministry to Establish Pakistan’s Largest Incubation Centre
The Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunications (MoITT) will soon establish a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to boost the country’s animation industry, due to the growing interest in basic comics and complicated anime productions across the country.

According to sources, the project is being executed in partnership with the University of Karachi and will cost more than 2 billion rupees.
The center will occupy 28,000 square feet in the University Road building of the Sheikh Zayed Institute. According to government authorities, this makes it Pakistan’s largest incubator.
Lal-Haveli will establish a scholarship program for female students.
In addition, sources indicate that Rs. 1 billion will be spent on necessary equipment and facilities, and Rs. 1 billion will be spent on the center’s five-year expenditures.
According to the officials, a contract has already been signed with Ignite to build the CoE, which will comprise a vertical incubator, training center, production studio, and co-working space for animation, VFX, and game development.
