IT Ministry to Train 15,000 Pakistanis in New Technologies
The “Capacity Building of IT Industry in Specialization Technologies & Platforms programme” by the IT Ministry and Telecommunications aims to train 15,000 Pakistanis in cutting-edge and specialized technology.
According to the paper made available, women and young people will receive training in a variety of disciplines, including e-health, BPO, e-agriculture, digital twins, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital twins.

The document states that Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) will choose the most necessary and in-demand technology to offer training after consulting with business and academia.
300 master trainers on specialised technologies like blockchain, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, etc. will be generated as part of this programme. The industry will then receive assistance from these master trainers in developing HR development programmes, creating curricula, and providing training.
For the purpose of choosing training partners and instructors, choosing training courses, and choosing their lengths, a high-level steering council will be established. High-level representatives from the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), the Pakistan Software Houses Association (PASHA), and other pertinent stakeholders will sit on the project steering committee.

A survey of the entire IT sector will be carried out to determine the current need for highly qualified workers and the corresponding technology. According to the poll results, requests for proposals will be created, and companies will be chosen who have thorough learning management systems for delivering training with the option of participating in courses online.
The government has allotted Rs. 1,000 million in the first stage, while the MoITT estimates that it will cost Rs. 2,000 million to train 15000 people. Each of the 2,500 trainees who successfully complete the course will receive a salary of Rs. 25,000 per month and be employed as interns in IT companies for 3 months.
