Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Jordanian Armed Forces, Major General Yousaf Ahmed, visited Pakistan’s General Headquarters (GHQ), where he held a meeting with Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and the prevailing regional security situation. Both sides also exchanged views on strengthening defence and military cooperation between Pakistan and Jordan.
The visiting Jordanian military chief praised the professionalism of Pakistan’s armed forces and acknowledged their role in promoting peace and stability in the region.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further enhancing defence ties with Jordan. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation to effectively respond to evolving regional and global security challenges.
Both countries reiterated their shared resolve to expand military-to-military collaboration and deepen bilateral defence relations.
