Karachi Circular Railway Project’s Feasibility Study to Be Finalized
Islamabad: According to media sources, the feasibility study for the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR) will be finished by the middle of August, according to Railways Chairman Secretary Habibur Rehman Gilani.
The KCR project review meeting was being addressed by the secretary.

The feasibility study for the railroad freight corridor project was said to be finished during the meeting. The planning and development minister commanded that a distinct proposal be produced for the civil structure of KCR because it will be a contemporary urban rail-based mass transit project. It will make it easier to move the projects along more quickly.
The minister gave the necessary agencies the task of creating PC-1 for civil constructions and submitting it to the Public Sector Development Programme for approval and funding. At the conference, it was also noted that working on both KCR components at the same time would guarantee an early completion and save a significant amount of time.
Moreover, issues relating to the freight route were studied and discussed. In order to attract investors, it was also determined that crucial project decisions must be made within a month.
