Karachi Green Line BRT, Ready to Become Operational Today
Asad Umar, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, has declared that the Karachi Green Line BRT will go into operation today, according Pakistani reports. The bus routes between Surjani Town and Numaish Chowrangi will be shuttled.

The trial run of the bus service was successful. The government of Sindh determines the fare. Depending on the distance, the cost will range from 15 to 55 PKR.

According to Federal Minister Asad Umar’s directive, the bus has sixty seats. Sixty passengers can travel on the seats, while others can stand in the aisles of the two-section buses. In addition, buses are capable of traveling at 50 km/h, but in most circumstances, a slower speed is advised. The existence of 20 stations with brief stops every few kilometers was announced.
