Karachi Kings continued their strong run in Pakistan Super League 2026 with a thrilling five-wicket win over RawalPindiz at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
Chasing a challenging target of 198, Karachi reached the total with four balls to spare, powered by match-winning performances from captain David Warner and wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan.
Karachi’s innings started on a mixed note as Muhammad Waseem fell early despite a brisk start. Salman Ali Agha then partnered with Warner to stabilize the chase with a 43-run stand, contributing a valuable 29 before his dismissal.
The game turned when Azam Khan was promoted up the order, a decision that proved crucial. He built a decisive 76-run partnership with Warner, shifting momentum firmly in Karachi’s favor. Warner anchored the innings with a composed 50 off 36 balls before being dismissed by Daryl Mitchell.
Azam Khan then took control of the chase, smashing a brilliant 74 off just 34 balls, including six fours and six sixes. His aggressive innings brought Karachi within touching distance of victory, even though Mohammad Amir removed him late in the innings.
There was brief tension in the final over when Mitchell struck again to dismiss Moeen Ali on the first ball. However, Abbas Afridi quickly sealed the match with a six, securing Karachi’s third consecutive win.
For RawalPindiz, Mitchell was the standout bowler with three wickets, while Naseem Shah and Mohammad Amir picked up one each.
Earlier, RawalPindiz posted a strong total of 197/6 after being put in to bat. Karachi’s bowling effort was led by Hasan Ali, who claimed three wickets, while Khushdil Shah and Mir Hamza also contributed with key breakthroughs.
With this win, Karachi Kings continue to build momentum and strengthen their position in the tournament.
