The Government of Pakistan has increased the price of kerosene oil following a notification issued by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority.
Under the revised pricing, kerosene oil has been increased by Rs. 39.20 per litre, bringing the new rate to Rs. 358.01 per litre. Previously, kerosene was priced at Rs. 318.81 per litre.
The price adjustment comes as the government decided not to increase the prices of petrol and high-speed diesel in the latest fuel price review in order to provide relief to consumers.
Shehbaz Sharif stated that the government has chosen to keep petrol and diesel prices unchanged despite rising global oil prices, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to reducing the financial burden on the public.
Under the current pricing structure:
- Petrol remains at Rs. 321.17 per litre
- High-speed diesel remains at Rs. 335.86 per litre
These prices will remain in effect until the next petroleum price review.
