KP Auqaf Decides to Launch Operation Against Land Mafia
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Auqaf department has resolved to take strong action against the land mafia in order to reclaim the valuable land in their hands.

According to sources, after Mehmood Khan’s approval, a province-wide operation would begin.
According to papers, the land mafia has illegally taken 50,612 Kanals of the province’s 65,108 Kanals. Currently, the department has jurisdiction over 13,763 Kanals of land, or just 21 percent of the entire territory, while 734 Kanals of land are the subject of litigation in several courts.
After receiving special approval from the prime minister, the administration of each district will carry out a comprehensive operation to recapture the aforementioned land.
Similarly, local bodies, administration, police, education, and health have taken 1,451 kanals of Auqaf Department land in several provinces without paying the department a cent.

According to a source, the department has decided to enter into a lease arrangement with the relevant departments that will obligate them to pay rent for the use of the premises.
