KP Government Agrees Uplift Projects Worth Rs 34 Billion
Peshawar: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has approved 14 uplift projects totaling Rs 34.14 billion.

According to the breakdown, the provincial government approved the construction of 11 small dams in KP under the project of 20 small dams at a cost of Rs 27 billion and purchased an additional 268 kanals of land for establishing a small industrial estate in Matni Peshawar at a cost of Rs 540 million.
Similar to that, the GT Road, Jamrud Road, and Ring Road beautification project will cost Rs 40 million.
The Special Area Development Project for South Waziristan, which will cost Rs 2.1 billion and create more jobs more quickly in three years, was also authorized at the meeting. The project will include local government, forestry, irrigation, agriculture, businesses, livestock, water supply, internship programmes, and related initiatives.

PDWP also approved the construction construction and rehabilitation of a 13 km section of Togh Sarai Anar Channa road and an 18 km road from Main Hangu road in Hangu District at a cost of Rs 180.7 million. In addition, Rs 240 million were allocated for strengthening and enhancing the capacity of Village Council and Neighborhood Council, Rs 30 million were allocated for Local Government Department Complex in Dir Lower Maidan, and Rs 180,7 million were approved for the construction and rehabilitation of the village councils and neighborhood councils million has been approved to ensure water supply to various adjoining villages in Dir district.
