KP Government & Industries Agree to Reduce Pollution in Province
Peshawar: According to news reports, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and the Industrialists Association Peshawar (IAP) have come to an agreement to address issues with pollution and the environment.
A consulting business would be hired by the government to make recommendations and modernize infrastructure to help prevent environmental degradation and pollution, as per the agreement.
Additionally, it was decided that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Economic Zones Development and Management Company (KPEZDMC) would hire a consulting firm to visit each company that makes chipboard and plastic bags within a week. The sector will be modernized by utilizing new and enhanced technology in accordance with the experts’ recommendations.

Both KPEZDMC and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) provided data and reports to the conference regarding ongoing initiatives and issues. It’s important to note that Pakistan has recently seen a rise in smog incidents, primarily due to industrial and transportation pollution.
