KP Govt Bans Resignation from Medical Teaching Institutions
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) administration has declared that it will stop granting no objection letters to medical teaching institutions (MTI) personnel who want to retire.
Following the departure of the board of governors chairman, several senior administrators at Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) expressed a desire to retire.
Dr. Nausherwan Burki, a retired dermatologist who was instrumental in enacting health changes throughout Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s rule in 2014, was replaced by Dr. Zubair Khan by the interim administration.

The Chief Minister’s Advisor on Health has decided to forbid the granting of no-objection certifications and the acceptance of resignations from MTI personnel, according to a notification released by the provincial health department.
Along with certain other members of other boards of tertiary care facilities, the government also replaced the chairs of MTIs, LRH, and Ayub Teaching Hospital Abbottabad.
According to reports, the warning was justified as a result of the important choices the former administration took, such as the acquisition of sizable money and the appointment of several workers. As a result, the new administration wants these people to be present when power is transferred.
