Lahore Master Plan to Be Finalized in Consultation LCCI
According to news reports, Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Vice Chairman (VC) SM Imran declared that all choices about the new Lahore Master Plan would be completed following consultation with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce & Industry (LCCI).
At a meeting of LCCI stakeholders, it was determined to contact project stakeholders prior to making any decisions. The new Master Plan of Lahore is being designed for future generations, as stated by VC Imran. In accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision, he continued, the environment received special attention.
Furthermore, according to Mian Tariq Misbah, president of the LCCI, Lahore lacks land for industrial investment and expansion. Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate and Sundar Industrial Estate in Lahore are currently running at maximum capacity. The venture capitalist stated that this is the reason why industrial land in the city is so expensive.

The new Master Plan is being created in accordance with the requirements of the industrial park. The president of the LCCI reported that the LDA supported rezoning Lahore and developing its industrial sector. Due to the lack of industrial zoning, he continued, the industry was saddled with exorbitant conversion fees.
