Defending champions Lahore Qalandars have announced their retained players ahead of the PSL 11 player auction, which is scheduled for February 11, 2026.
The franchise initially placed 13 players in its retention pool across different categories. These included Shaheen Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Haris Rauf in the Platinum category; Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Salman Mirza in Diamond; and several others spread across Gold, Silver, and Emerging categories.
From this pool, Lahore Qalandars confirmed the retention of four players:
- Platinum: Shaheen Afridi
- Diamond: Abdullah Shafique
- Gold: Sikandar Raza
- Silver: Mohammad Naeem
The franchise chose not to retain any player in the Emerging category.
Lahore’s announcement comes as other PSL teams also begin locking in their core players ahead of the auction.
Karachi Kings retained four players, keeping Hasan Ali (Platinum), Abbas Afridi (Diamond), Khushdil Shah (Gold), and Saad Baig (Emerging), while leaving the Silver category vacant.
Quetta Gladiators also confirmed their retentions, holding on to Abrar Ahmed (Platinum), Usman Tariq (Diamond), Hassan Nawaz (Gold), and Shamyl Hussain (Emerging), with no retention in the Silver category.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Peshawar Zalmi have retained Babar Azam in the Platinum category, with Sufiyan Muqeem also believed to be among their retained players, as teams finalize their strategies for the league’s first auction-era season.
PSL 11 is set to begin on March 26 and will run until May 3, 2026.
