Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has opened a second flyover for traffic in the provincial capital, which is wonderful news for the people of Lahore.
The interim chief minister officially opened the three months ahead of schedule Akbar Chowk Flypast. Leading government figures, such as Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the DG of the Lahore Development Authority, were with him.
It should be mentioned that the flyover’s original completion date was set for October 10. However, because of the LDA’s effectiveness, the project was finished in just seven months.
Ten protected U-turns and a 2.2 km flyover have been built as part of the project. CM Naqvi declared during the opening ceremony that Lahore’s longest flypast is currently the two-sided Akbar Chowk flypast.

The caretaker CM emphasized the significance of the project and mentioned that its completion has created a signal-free corridor between Multan Road and Ferozpur Road.
It will also take care of the long-standing traffic issues on PECO Road and College Road. The caretaker administration intends to start construction on College Road shortly.
Naqvi further asserted that the authorities made sure not a single tree was chopped down while the building was underway. He continued by saying that 300 plants have been planted around the flyover, improving the surrounding area’s aesthetics and natural quality.
It is important to note that the LDA finished its fourth major project in November, which is the flyover over Akbar Chowk. The Bedian Underpass, the Shahdara Flyovers, and the Cavalry Underpass had previously been opened by the CM.
