Land Acquisition for Revised Ring Road Project Allowed
The Punjab Planning and Development Board (PPDB) has authorized land acquisition for the redesigned Rawalpindi Ring Road project and approved the PC-I, which is worth Rs 6.7 billion.
The district administration has not yet recouped the money provided to landowners along the former path of the Ring Road from Radio Pakistan to Murat and Sangjani.
Due to charges of corruption, the purchase of Pakistani land for 380 million rupees for the Ring Road project in the Rawalpindi area was canceled.

In accordance with Section 48(1) of the Land Acquisition Act of 1894, the money paid to landowners for the acquisition of land along the whole length of the illegally advertised alignment inside the Rawalpindi and Attock districts will be refunded.
