LAHORE: On Friday, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) conducted a big operation that resulted in the partial demolition of 35 unlawful houses. The goal of the operation was to stop unauthorized constructions. Wapda Town, PIA Scheme, Johar Town, and Wahdat Road were among the targeted localities.
According to a spokeswoman for the LDA, Mr. Muhammad Ali Randhawa, the D.G. LDA, and Commissioner Lahore issued the orders for the operation to be carried out. Additional D.G. Housing, Captain (R) Shah Mir Iqbal, attentively monitored the actions that were taking place on the ground.

The main causes of the crackdown were buildings that deviated from permitted plans, illicit commercial activity, unauthorized property changes or additions, and nonpayment of commercialization fees. Due to these infractions, the LDA teams had to seal the affected properties before demolishing them.
This operation demonstrates the LDA’s dedication to preserving the city’s structural integrity and ensuring that every development complies with the established standards.
