Lease of Pakistan Quarters’ Extended for Another 54 Years
According to news sources, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan extended the lease of Pakistan Quarters for an additional 54 years after the first 26-year term expired in Karachi. The Pakistan Quarters lease had expired in 1995, and since then the occupants have been threatened with eviction.

After the federal government paid the government of Sindh PKR 413 million for the lease extension, the Revenue Department released the extension documents. A member of the assembly informed reporters that the administration intends to construct a housing program for Pakistan Quarters residents.

Previously, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail promised to address the issues of Pakistan Quarter residents who were threatened with eviction by the Sindh government due to the expiration of their lease. Additionally, the governor informed the local delegation that the government will provide them with superior choices.
