The Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi has been officially confirmed for global markets. Earlier this month, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition received international certification under the Leica Leitzphone branding, and recent leaks hinted at the rebranded launch.

Now, Xiaomi’s official Spanish X (formerly Twitter) account has shared a teaser confirming both the device name and its global rollout plans.

The Leica Leitzphone will be introduced at the global launch event for the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The event is set to take place in Barcelona, Spain, on February 28 at 2 PM local time.

The teaser clearly labels the device as “Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi,” confirming the company’s international branding strategy.

The Chinese version of the phone has already been released, giving an early look at its hardware and features. The global model is expected to carry largely the same specifications.

However, reports suggest minor design changes for international markets. The two-tone dark finish available in China may be replaced with a fully black rear panel. Additionally, the placement of the Leica logos is rumored to be rotated by 90 degrees compared to the Chinese variant.

More detailed specifications and pricing information are expected to be revealed during the official launch event in Barcelona.
