A period of record-breaking heat was briefly interrupted on Saturday morning by light rains in Islamabad.
With temperatures reaching 45°C on June 11, one of the hottest days in the city’s history, Islamabad saw one of the worst heat waves in recent memory this June.
Pre-monsoon rain is predicted for several cities, including Rawalpindi and Islamabad, between June 20 and June 23, according to a statement released earlier this week by the Met Office.
Additionally, it forecasted that during the forecast period, extremely hot weather conditions would probably gradually cool down.
