Actress Mahira Khan has clarified that she has no plans to enter politics, stating she was “not created for it,” despite being vocal during the brief Pakistan-India conflict in May 2025.
The star shared her thoughts during an appearance on a private TV channel, where she discussed her career, her upcoming romantic film Neelofar, and her experiences working in India. Her candid remarks offered insight into her personal beliefs, patriotism, and professional relationships.
Excited about Neelofar, Mahira described her journey in showbiz as one filled with learning and gratitude. She also praised Shah Rukh Khan, calling her experience working in India “good” and saying she felt “lucky” to share the screen with such a prominent actor. She added that she has already said almost everything she wants about Shah Rukh, and the rest remains personal.
Speaking Up During Pakistan–India Tensions
On voicing support for Pakistan during the short war in May 2025, Mahira said it was both her duty and passion. She acknowledged that her statements may have disappointed some Indian fans but maintained that she would never compromise her love for her country.
“Just as Indians prioritise their homeland, Pakistan comes above everything for me during times of conflict,” she said, adding that expressing her patriotism was the right thing to do, regardless of criticism.
Admiration for Humble Celebrities
Mahira also spoke about her admiration for humble stars, noting that Shah Rukh Khan carries an unexpected sense of humility. She said Fawad Khan and Humayun Saeed share the same grounded nature, praising all three for remaining respectful despite their celebrity status.
‘Politics Is Not for Me’
When asked about entering politics, Mahira responded firmly that she has no such plans. “I am not made for politics,” she said, emphasizing that neither her personality nor her views align with the political arena. She added that she is content focusing on her craft and intends to continue thriving in the entertainment world.
