Mardan Traders Seek Relief Package in Budget
Mardan: The Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has requested that its recommendations be incorporated into the forthcoming federal budget.
Zahir Shah, the head of the MCCI, urged that the government give traders assistance in the upcoming budget, including tax exemptions and power bill waivers.

He said to this reporter that the Covid-19 epidemic had an impact on merchants since, for the most part, commercial operations were halted due to the installation of lockdown.
He suggested reviewing the unique tax exemptions being provided to foreign investors. He suggested that potential taxpayers be identified using information from the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra).

According to Mr. Shah, the relief measures and incentives will foster a cooperative environment among holding agents and the Federal Board of Revenue and the business community.
