Minister Opens Rescue-1122 Center in NW
Muhammad Iqbal Wazir, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister for relief and rehabilitation, inaugurated the 1122 Rescue Center in the Shewa tehsil of North Waziristan.

During his visit to North Waziristan, the minister inspected and reviewed various development projects and laid the cornerstone of Government Degree College Boys Shewa to meet the long-standing demand of the locals.
Muhammad Iqbal Wazir stated that development and upgrade efforts have been initiated to promote economic activity in the region.
He stated that 42 uplift projects costing Rs 600 million for bazaars in the tehsils of Miran-shah, Razmak, Eidak, Mirali, Spin Wam, Khadi, DattaKhel, Dosli, and Shewa would stimulate economic activity in these regions.

In addition, he stated that a citizen facilitation centre would soon be established in Shewa tehsil to assist citizens in obtaining identity cards, birth certificates, family registration, vehicle and mobile ID verification, and other essential services.
He stated that construction of a small dam in the Khaisur region of Mirali was nearing completion in order to solve North Waziristan’s long-standing water shortage problem.
