Murad Announces Uplift Schemes for Baba and Bhit Islands
Syed Murad Ali Shah, chief minister of Sindh, has announced the construction of three floating jetties and passenger shelters on the Baba and Bhit islands and in Mubarak village at a cost of Rs 250.561 million, according to a report from Karachi.

Mr. Shah traveled by boat to Bhit Island, where he stated during a reception that he had a close relationship with fisherman.
The chief minister announced the construction of three floating jetties and passenger sheds on the islands of Bhit, Baba, and Mubarak.
The fisherman informed the chief minister that their communities’ leases had expired, therefore they wanted a new lease. The chief minister then instructed the commissioner to complete the task; if the permit had expired, a new one was to be issued by the Board of Revenue.
