Police have launched a murder investigation following the tragic killing of 17-year-old TikTok star Sana Yousuf in Islamabad’s G-13 sector on Tuesday. The incident occurred around 5 pm when an unidentified gunman entered Sana’s residence and opened fire, hitting her twice in the chest before fleeing the scene.
The teenager, originally from Upper Chitral, was immediately taken to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), where doctors declared her dead upon arrival. Sana had gained popularity on social media through her TikTok videos, amassing a large following in recent months.
Authorities at the Sumbal police station have registered a case against unknown individuals based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, who stated they may be able to identify the assailant if seen again. Police sources revealed that the suspect may have been a guest in the house at the time of the shooting, but the exact motive behind the murder remains under investigation.
Sana Yousuf’s body has been transferred to PIMS for a post-mortem examination as officials continue to gather evidence and question potential witnesses. The case has drawn widespread attention due to the victim’s social media fame and the shocking nature of the attack.
