National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has extended a fresh offer of dialogue to the opposition, urging them to engage in talks with the government.
“The prime minister has repeatedly offered talks to the opposition and even formed a high-powered committee, but it was boycotted,” Sadiq said. “I once again invite the opposition to come forward and hold discussions.”
Responding to the offer, Mahmood Achakzai said, “We cannot hold talks as you are not the true representatives of the people.”
Reacting to Achakzai’s remarks, Sadiq replied, “That’s just an excuse to avoid dialogue. I have been elected twice after defeating your leader.”
Meanwhile, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan expressed willingness to engage, stating, “We believe in dialogue, and PTI founder Imran Khan has also directed the party to hold talks.”
Speaking on PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif, Gohar added, “Nawaz Sharif has become irrelevant in the country’s political landscape.”
