Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reaffirmed his party’s commitment to national development, stating that the PML-N has consistently delivered on both economic growth and defence advancements. Speaking to journalists outside his London residence at Avenfield House, Nawaz Sharif emphasized that voters recognize and reward performance, and that real work must accompany political activity.

Highlighting the PML-N’s past achievements, Sharif said the party played a central role in stabilizing the economy and restoring national progress after what he described as mismanagement by previous governments. He cited infrastructure development, power generation, and economic resilience as key milestones achieved during his party’s tenure.

“The rupee remained stable for four years during our government,” Sharif noted, underscoring economic indicators that he believes reflect successful governance. He also credited the PML-N for launching significant infrastructure projects such as motorways, dams, and power plants that contributed to national development.

Nawaz Sharif further claimed that the PML-N was instrumental in Pakistan’s strategic defence capabilities, including the country’s nuclear program and the joint development of the JF-17 fighter jets with China. He asserted that it was his party that introduced missile technology to the country’s defence portfolio.

Commenting on the recent by-election victory in Sambrial, Sharif said the result was a clear sign that the people support development-oriented policies. “The nation knows who has done what for the country,” he said, indirectly criticizing rival political parties for lacking tangible achievements.

Without naming specific political opponents, Sharif questioned their contribution to national progress and urged citizens to reflect on who genuinely served the country. “We should thank Allah as a nation and remember who served Pakistan and how,” he said.

He concluded by stressing that the PML-N remains focused on ensuring a stable and prosperous future for Pakistan through continued development across all sectors.
