On Sunday, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) warned that sections of Sindh, Balochistan, and southern Punjab in Pakistan could be impacted by the rain system that is situated close to the Indian borders of Gujarat and Rajasthan.
According to the NDMA spokeswoman, these showers can persist sporadically until September 10. The Sulaiman Range and southern Punjab are likely to experience heavy to extremely severe rainfall. Urban flooding is a risk in parts of southern Punjab, Sindh, and Balochistan.
Flash floods can also happen in the Kirthar and Sulaiman ranges as a result of heavy rainfall. In the Balochistani districts of Lasbela and Khuzdar, a warning has been issued on the possibility of flooding in streams and rivers.
