NDMA problems Northern regions are on a glove alert.
Because of the elevated risk posed by severe heat, monsoon rains, and a westerly weather system, the NDMA has issued a Glacial Lake Outburst Flood (GLOF) advisory for northern areas.
The advisory states that the combination of the extreme heat and the continuous monsoon activity could make glacier lake eruptions more likely. Flash floods from such events might harm bridges and highways and interfere with connections.
Local authorities have asked both locals and visitors to heed their recommendations and refrain from accessing glaciers, lakes, and riverbanks.
The public has also been asked to notify local authorities right away of any anomalous water flows or obvious glacier changes.
