WhatsApp is rolling out a set of new features designed to make chats easier to manage, more organized, and more useful in everyday use.
One of the key updates focuses on storage management. Users can now find and delete large files directly within a chat without removing the entire conversation. By going to “Manage Storage” inside a chat, they can clear unnecessary media while keeping their messages intact.
The app is also improving chat transfer between devices. Users can now move their chat history from iOS to Android, in addition to transfers within the same platform. This makes switching phones simpler, allowing conversations, photos, and videos to be transferred with minimal effort.
Another update allows users to run two WhatsApp accounts on a single iPhone, similar to what is already available on Android. This makes it easier to separate personal and work accounts without needing two devices. A profile picture indicator helps users keep track of which account they are using.
WhatsApp is also enhancing how users interact with stickers. The app will now suggest stickers based on emojis typed in a chat, making it quicker to express reactions.
New AI-powered features have also been introduced. Users can edit photos directly within chats using Meta AI, allowing them to remove unwanted elements, change backgrounds, or apply different styles before sending. In addition, the “Writing Help” feature can suggest replies based on the conversation, helping users draft messages more easily while maintaining privacy.
These features are currently being rolled out and are expected to be available to all users soon.
