A 16-man roster has been announced by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for the next Asia Cup, which is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, September 9.
Bangladesh would begin its Asia Cup campaign on a high note after defeating Pakistan 2-1 at home, according to information that surfaced on Friday. After nearly three years, Qazi Nurul Hasan, the wicketkeeper batsman for Bangladesh, was added to the team.
Bangladesh has chosen to acquire six all-round players. The Bangladeshi team would include Saif Hassan, Shamim Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, and Shaif Uddin.
Four frontline bowlers have been acquired by the Tigers in the interim. Bangladesh’s participation in the esteemed international competition would include Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Taskin Ahmed, and Shoriful Islam.
Remarkably, Bangladesh’s lineup now includes four wicketkeepers. The team would include Parvez Hossain Emon, Jaker Ali, Nurul Hsan Sohan, and Litton Das.
It is important to remember that Bangladesh’s Asia Cup campaign will begin on September 11 at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium in Abu Dhabi with a match versus Hong Kong.
