NHA to Plant Trees along Motorways, Highways Across Pakistan
According to news sources, National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman Captain Muhammad Khurram Agha declared in Islamabad that NHA has a comprehensive plan in place to plant trees along the country’s motorway and highway network.

The NHA chairman, speaking to the media, noted that NHA is working hard to create eco-friendly roads across the country to make them aesthetically pleasant for travelers and to counteract the negative effects of global warming, in accordance with Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision.
In this regard, the Federal Minister for Planning and Development, Asad Umar, was invited by the NHA Rawalpindi Maintenance Unit to plant a tree in the Punjab North Region.

Similarly, Minister and Adviser to the Prime Minister for Political Affairs Malik Muhammad Amir Dogar inaugurated a tree-planting initiative at the N-5 Motorway Chowk. Also planting seedlings at N-5 were Rawalpindi Commissioner Gulzar Hussain Shah and Rawalpindi Station Commander Brig Ijaz Qamar.
During the tree-planting campaign along the N-5, the chairman requested that everyone engage in the advanced afforestation campaign to make Pakistan cleaner and greener.
