NPHP: 2000 Govt Employees Picked Thru Balloting in Lahore
Lahore: Out of the 13,277 applicants, 2,000 housing units were allocated in a lottery for the LDA City Naya Pakistan Flats at the chief minister’s office. The chief minister, Usman Buzdar, pressed a computer key to do this.

A typical apartment costs roughly Rs2.7 million, and those who have been assigned one may also apply separately for the subsidy. The down payment for those receiving the subsidy is 10% of the entire cost, while the deposit for everyone else is 21%.
After the allottees move into the units, they will pay the remaining balance in convenient monthly installments.

In the initial phase, in addition to individuals employed by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA), the residences will be distributed to staff members of the federal and provincial governments.
More than 13,000 applications for the flats, according to him, demonstrate the widespread public confidence in the initiative, which was created with no profit and no loss in mind.
In the meantime, the chief minister said in a statement that no Muslim could ever dare to show disrespect for the Holy Prophet in reference to the recent unrest in the country over the blasphemy problem (PBUH).

He expressed concern over the opposition parties’ attempts to turn the recent terrible occurrence into a political issue and noted that their disapproving attitude was regrettable.
