NPHP Approved Loans Worth PKR 35bn for Low-Cost Housing
Islamabad: The Prime Minister’s Adviser on Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. Babar Awan, announced on Friday that the government has sanctioned PKR 35 billion in loans for the Naya Pakistan Housing Project (NPHP) Flagship program’s low-cost housing scheme for the underprivileged.

In response to queries from members of parliament, he described the project’s accomplishments since its commencement, including the following:
- The construction of 45,000 homes will be completed within 18 months.
- Easy 20-year payments of PKR 6,000 to 10,000 per month
- In addition to the 11,000 apartments, three million housing units will be built.
- Initiation of an extra 12 projects in various cities by the Prime Minister.

Banks have received 33506 loan applications totaling 110 billion Pakistani rupees, of which 35 billion have been granted.
